Please review. There are 6 steps listed. Please review to see if I missed
anything.
1. Merge File Repository Changes
Serge, would you please merge your branch into HEAD? I believe I know the
proper CVS commands, but I would rather than someone who has actually used
them in vitro does so. :-)
2. Merge the one NNTP patch
Serge, would you lift your -1 to allow that one patch, which Harmeet agrees
does help, and amounts to an additional print statement? If so, I'll apply
that patch.
3. Change config.xml to disable NNTP
I will do this later today.
4. Do build dist.
I can do this after the CVS changes are completed. My options for compiling
are either Sun 1.4.1 or IBM 1.3.1. If it needs to be it compiled with
anything else, e.g., Sun 1.3.1, I'll need someone else to do the build.
What is the preference for the compiler?
5. tag the CVS
Again, I can lookup the CVS command. Or one of the more experienced CVS
mavens can apply it.
6. update daedalus
I'll stage the changes on my icarus account, download and edit the two
jakarta-site2 pages, and generally review Stefan Bodewig's reference page.
