I don't think so, no. The lookup from James would be for the MX record
associated with tigerbrands.com. The exception has that '.' in it; it isn't
being added by James during the log, as you can see from the surrounding
context:
Temporary exception delivering mail
(Mail1042664588681-11-to-tigerbrands.com:
javax.mail.MessagingException: Unknown SMTP host: mail.tigerbrands.co.za.;
nested exception is:
java.net.UnknownHostException: mail.tigerbrands.co.za.
He should try nslookup (or dig) to check the DNS entry. When I do it, I
get:
> set q=mx
> tigerbrands.com
tigerbrands.com MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mail.tigerbrands.com
tigerbrands.com MX preference = 20, mail exchanger = mail.tigerbrands.co.za
So everything looks good from here. But that extra '.' would definitely
foul things up.
