Did you set the user up through the James telnet interface?
 
I had the same problem, but with outgoing mail only.  Internal was not being stopped by the SPAM mailet.  I ended up commenting out the SPAM mailet handler and this prevented the mail from going to spam.  As for why the SPAM mailet spams everything?  Can't answer that one.

hi all !
   i am trying to install james 1.2 on my NT 4.0....
after succesfull installation when i try to send mail to a user created by me....the mail does not reach the local inbox( i have  even tried creating a folder by the name of the user in localinbox....)...rather it turns up in the spam folder...
    can anybody plz. help me out as to what exactly is happening and what to do ?
i have put dns server as the dnsserver of my intranet....
