I haven't tested it, but the decision had been to make it a server-wide
setting (whether email addresses should be treated case-sensitively), and
there's now a setting in the latest conf files, so I'm assuming someone
implemented this. Again, I haven't tested it though myself. (just as a
point of note, the domain part of the email address is always
case-insensitive... it's just the part before the @ that's questionably case
sensitive. RFC822 says it should be sensitive, but in practice pretty much
nobody treats it that way)
