I need to create a web mail archive and in particular I need to identify mail threads. As far as I can see the best way to do it is using the "In-Reply-To" or "References" header parameters but not all the mail clients seem to send it. In fact I did the following test to see how MHonArc (the james-user mail archive): I replied two times to a mail in the list having changed the subject, one time using Outlook Express and the other one using Eudora. I could see that MHonArc archived the mail sent with OE as a new thread while put the one sent with Eudora in the right thread. So what I can guess is that OE didn't send the "In-Reply-To" parameter. Is there any other way to identify whether a message is a reply to another one? Am I right when I say that Outlook Express doesn't send the "In-Reply-To" parameter? Thanks Ennio
