Erm, I am *trying* to help, I too am a "keen believer in open source projects" and frankly the thing about open source I hold most dear is that if you are "not impressed about" a thing you can fix it yourself.
I have no real experience of Oracle, but I do know that you should see text in the message_body field not numbers. The example you gave wouldn't be served correctly by POP. There were some discussions on this list a wee while ago about oracle and James, and the clob datatype, try reading them. My comments were meant to be useful feedback, I'm sorry if you didn't find them to be. d. > -----Original Message----- > From: Samuel Sadek [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Saturday, February 23, 2002 6:24 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: How to make James work with Oracle database? > > > I'm in the middle of evaluating JAMES and a keen believer in open source > projects, but I am not impressed about its behavious with Oracle > as this is > a must be db server type to use, I'm afraid. > > So any useful feedback as to the problem of not able to read a > message from > JAMES POP server would be most appreciated. > > Sam. > > >but the message body field should contain readable plain text when you > >select it. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
