Thanks for the reply. I have the internal application sending mail now....and I can log into the email server from an Outlook client. However, whenever I send a test message to the new email account, it goes straight to the spam folder. Here is a snippet of my config file:
<mailet match="RemoteAddrNotInNetwork=127.0.0.1" class="ToProcessor"> <processor>spam</processor> </mailet> -----Original Message----- From: Danny Angus [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, March 21, 2002 5:02 PM To: James Users List; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Security - internal vs. external > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: 21 March 2002 19:27 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Security - internal vs. external > > > Greetings, > > I wish to run James with SMTP Auth so that remote users can login > and retrieve their mail. SMTP doesent provide this function, thats POP3. SMTP will "push" mail it recieves on to the final destination, pop lets you connect and get your mailbox. Use POP and SMTP as provided, it should work as you expect it to. However, I also need to be able to > connect to JAMES via JavaMail (JavaMail is executing on the same > box as JAMES) to send emails (without validation). How do I > accomplish this configuration? > > Thanks, > Tom > > -- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > For additional commands, e-mail: > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
