I'm using 1.3.2 but I'll try 1.4 and see if that helps.

What version of the jre are you pointing it at? I think I saw this with 1.2.
I put 1.4 on win2k and it worked right off.

Do I need to make any edits to the run.bat file or should James run fine out
of the box on  windowsME and windowXP? I have my java_home and pheonix_home
all set up but I get an error on start up. "bad file or command" do any of
