You might enable smtp authentication.  That way no one can use your mail
server to send mail without first gaining authentication.  Just do a search
in your config file for "SMTP AUTH" and you should be able to figure out
what to do.  I did this from the start and have never had a spamm problem.
Of course, I could be an isolated case.
