Hello, I am currently using JAMES at work to deliver approximately 17,000 email messages per "blast" to the trade industry I serve. After every "blast" I assess to see how much time it took and currently have the config.xml set to have 50 delivery threads and 50 spool threads.
I didn't realize I can set more than 1 delivery thread. My first blast took 26 hours! After discovering this, the last "blast" took about 3 hours 15 minutes when set to 50 threads. It seems the delivery threads are optimized, but saw the "spool" lagging a bit behind the outgoing messages. I just upped the value to 100 spool threads and kept the delivery threads to 50. Has anyone pushed the limit to anything higher than this? The server is a Sun Solaris and is dedicated to email delivery only. Thanks! ________________________ Ramon Gonzalez Tampa Bay, Florida --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
