James attemtps (using DNS, as Java can't currently poll your NIC's) to lookup the IP of the domains set as servernames. These are then added in this form [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] so that James will handle mail sent to the IP address of a domain which James handles. In the past you had to add these by hand. You might still need to add some by hand if you don't handle a domain which resolves to the IP address. Its simply for convenience and not a 100% accurate representation of the IP's you should be handling mail for. Of course this looks like something which obeys the 80:20 rule so it's probably close enough in 80% of cases.
