local mail delivery problem

I'm new to james, sorry...
I can't get it to deliver mail to a local user.
I used the out of the box config file, was that wrong?
I telneted and created a local user. user@localhost

My messages were all spam, so I commented the spam mailets out.
I sent mail and it went into the error folder in var.

I can send mail to external users.
When i got my mail from the server via pop it created a local mail box named it the same as the user i entered via telnet ie:user@localhost.


Using Windows2k server, jdk1.4.1_01.
