I take that back, as I must have recalled incorrectly. I am running load
tests again today, and seeing a definite improvement in the 20% - 25% range
with Sun JVM 1.4.1_01 using -server rather than -client.
I also note that IBM JVM 1.3.1_06 runs substantially faster than Sun JVM
1.4.1 Hotspot server. The difference is greater than the difference between
the Hotspot accelerators.
