copy james.exe (in the zip) into the bin
All the bat in the bin for exemple where you have copy James.exe
After create a bat with this line
James.exe -install JamesMailServer %JAVA_HOME%\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll
-Djava.ext.dirs=c:\Java\ServeurMail\james-2.1\lib
-Djava.class.path=c:\Java\ServeurMail\james-2.1\bin\phoenix-loader.jar;c
:\Java\ServeurMail\james-2.1\bin\phoenix-engine.jar -start
org.apache.avalon.phoenix.launcher.Main -out
c:\Java\ServeurMail\james-2.1\logs\stdout.log -err
c:\Java\ServeurMail\james-2.1\logs\stderr.log

Change the directory with yours.

For uninstall :

Create another bat
With :

With that the service works perfect

Objet : James Service

Hello all (again),

I have finally managed to get JAMES working so I can send/receive emails

(and setup a mailing list also). Now I would like to run JAMES as a
Win2k
service.
I have read the FAQ, and created the .bat files. I can install JAMES
successfully as a service, however, when I run the service, it stops
itself
immediately after.
Has this got anything to do with my installing of the service
(presumably),
because I did follow the guidelines in the FAQ. I couldnt find anything
more
in the archives for this mailing list.

Thanks
Ghulam
