I was wondering why I wasn't getting any mail.

My James has crashed a couple of times lately with JVM errors. With all the problems there are with the HotSpot Server VM, I was surprised to find that the new phoenix.sh script (James v2.1+) is using the server VM by default. I've had the server VM work fine for Tomcat, but spontaneously die when using JBoss and several versions of James.

This particular crash is on JDK1.4.1 on Red Hat Linux 7.3 with James 2.1.2. I've had crashes on Windows with James in the past.

The new JDK1.4.1_02 says it has fixed some of these types of errors so I'm running that now with -server and will see what happens.
I'll post again in a couple of days with the results.

Eric
