I think it would take a lot of work since you'd probably have to modify
both Avalon and James in many places (even if it's just simple import
statements to the separated collections API). I use VA quite a bit too
and there's a 3.0 version that supports JDK 1.2... I'd suggest giving
that a whirl in the meantime... I think IBM and VA are shooting for a
1.3 compatible version before too long.
