Hi,

well, I'm not completely sure about this, but I think MBOX is not completely
"thread-safe". I guess that was the reason for Bernstein to integrate a new 
type "Maildir" inside QMail.

You may want to have a look at http://cr.yp.to/proto/maildir.html
