Hello, Yes this scenario is supported and Jami can work well on a fully isolated intranet. Jami is also capable of automatically switching between intranet and internet depending on the connectivity status. We would be pleased to help you to setup Jami in your environment.
To work in a local intranet, you need to enable the "local peer discovery" preference so that Jami nodes can automatically find each other on the local network using multicast. If your infrastructure doesn't support multicast, it's possible to configure a local DHT bootstrap node in your intranet to bootstrap your local network. We're currently working to improve the user experience in this scenario. Is there a way to run Jami in an isolated Intranet, without any Internet connection? We have a plan to run Jami as a client in a disaster relief scenario with Wireless Mesh routers (10.0.0.0/8 network). No Internet available. Best regards Iurii
