I just got done with my first year of study, and we used Japanese for
Busy People. It was a fairly good book. But friends in class that had
studied elsewhere told me Genki was better. I will say the exercise
book that goes hand and hand with JFBP was quite handy. But I made the
mistake of buying the romanji version of the book. If you purchase
definetly get the kana version.
