How are you supposed to pronounce R, I read that it is usually pronounced more like the American "L" such as in Arigatou, however, recently I heard it is sometimes pronounced with a "D" sound, such as in arimasu? Which is it and how do you know when to pronounce it like an "L" and when to pronounce it like a "D"?
