Since the 3rd digit in the version number for Sun's VMs refers to
their different bug fix releases then there can't really be a
correlation there. However Japhar should be able to currently use
either a 1.1 or 1.2 class library with the VM somewhat compatible with
either (CVS version). As the version number (.08 I think was the last
release) should indicate, Japhar is still in a development stage.
