The release of libtool used by japhar doesn't support this stuff.
Your best bet is to run `make install' within `lib/zlib', remove
config.cache from the top-level build directory and configure again,
so that it finds the installed zlib.
Another option is to download a CVS version of libtool or some
post-1.3 snapshot and `libtoolize' japhar with the alpha code, that is
supposed to support this.
