I'm trying to build the latest CVS version of japhar (so i can play around
with classpath), and the configure script keeps dying in the libltdl directory.
the system is debian linux, with all the appropriate versions of autoconf,
automake, and libtool.
when i run autoheader and autoconf as it says in HACKING, i get the
following warning (i don't know if it's significant, but i thought i'd
mention it anyway)
configure.in:53: warning: AC_TRY_RUN called without default to allow cross compiling
then when i run configure with the following command:
./configure --with-jdk=/usr/local/jdk1.2.2 --with-nspr=/usr/local/nspr
it dies in the libltdl directory with the following output:
configuring in libltdl
running /bin/sh ./configure --with-jdk=/usr/local/jdk1.2.2
--with-nspr=/usr/local/nspr --enable-ltdl-convenience --cache-file=.././config.cache
--srcdir=.
./configure: ./configure: No such file or directory
configure: error: ./configure failed for libltdl
the jdk is the RC1 of jdk1.2.2 from sun, and the nspr is a recent checkout
of the mozilla CVS.
hope i've included enough information.
any idea what's going wrong?
