Sorry, I should have made that clear. I'm still using the versions I
originally downloaded i.e. Apache 1.3.4 and Jserv 1.0b3.

Basically Paul's advice was to use DSO rather than the static compile option.
Once that choice was made, it was simply a case of following the standard DSO
installation procedure. I'm not sure how well that would fit into the FAQ but
I'll look at it to see how it might fit in there.
