I have been doing some load testing and noticed that while I had multiple clients continuously hitting my servlet, my apache would crash if I tried to recompile that servlet. Of course I would never do this under a production environment, but why might this happen? Http requests to my servlet just hang after I compile. I tailed both the apache error log and the jserv log. Neither spits anything out. I am forced to restart apache to get things back to normal.
