Thank you. Been there. Read that. But it's not exactly the same error.

I'm merely trying to get the examples to run and have not altered any of
the configuration files since they are setup already. It's perplexing since
I've tried this from scratch a few times, step by step, with the
instuctions in one window and my work in another but it hasn't worked yet.
Same problem everytime.

Here is how I built it all:

1st: ~/apache_1.3.6/configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache_jserv

2nd: ~/Apache-JServ-1.0b3/configure --prefix=/usr/local/jserv \
>--with-apache-src=../apache-1.3.6 \
>--enable-apache-conf \
>--with-jdk-home=/usr/local/java \
>--with-jsdk=/usr/local/JSDK2.0

3rd: ~/Apache-JServ-1.0b3/make install

4th: ~/apache_1.3.6/make install

5th: added this to httpd.conf:

Include /home/jeffb/src/Apache-JServ-1.0b3/examples/jserv.conf

Fired it up and the JVM failed to start with the errors mentioned before.

Looks like by the numbers to me.

In case I didn't mention it before, and if there are known problems with
this config, here's what I'm working with:

JDK 1.1.7v1
JSDK2.0
Apache 1.3.6
Apache-JServ 1.0b3
RedHat Linux 5.2/kernel 2.0.36

Thanks for your help. It's certainly appreciated.

Cheers,

Jeff
