Using Linux 2.0.36, glibc, Blackdown JDK 1.1.7_v1a, Apache 1.3.6, Jserv
1.04b
When I execute any command (start, stop, status, etc.) to the apachectl
module (usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl), it logs me out instantly. If
not trying to enable JServ, 'apachectl start' will start the server and
serve the default page. If trying to enable JServ, nothing works.
Has anyone successfully used Apache on Linux as a servlet http server?
We've messed around with Apache 1.3.3 with no success (a bunch of errors
that had to do with the wrapper not being found), and yesterday I
compiled it with 1.3.6 for the first time and received the message
"mod_jserv.so doesn't look like an Apache DSO...". Today, I recompiled
it and get booted out of the shell each time I try to start or stop it.
I've done tons of reading on the FAQs and mailing groups, and haven't
yet seen anyone struggle with DSO support for JServ.
