Hi,

I am running Windows NT Server 4.0 (with SP4). I installed the Apache
web server which seems to work OK.

Then I installed the Apache JServ module. I provided all the locations
for the required elements (ie Java, jsdk, etc). Then I put the
following line in the jserv.properties file as required:

        wrapper.env=windir=e:\winnts

I have changed nothing else.

When I go to try the IsItWorking servlet, the server returns an Internal
Server Error and the mod_jserv.log contains the following error messages
each time:

[22/06/1999 23:13:00:881] (EMERGENCY) ajp11: cannot scan servlet headers
[22/06/1999 23:13:00:881] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via
protocol "ajpv11"

The first time I do this when Apache & JServ start, Dr Watson generates
an access violation message for Java as well as the other symptoms.

Does anyone have any ideas why this might occur and/or how I can fix it?

Thanks,
