Thanks for the responses so far...
To be safe from spaces in pathnames I re-installed Apache and JServ to a new
path with no spaces (i.e D:\ApacheGroup\ApacheJServ).. And I'm still
experiencing the same problem as before -- I can get status from jserv/ but
cannot run any servlet... with the error trail:
> > In the mod_jserv.log file, I get :
> > (EMERGENCY) ajp11: can not connect to host 127.0.0.1:8007
> > (EMERGENCY) ajp11: connection fail
> > (ERROR) an error returned handling request via protocol "ajpv11"
Also, last time I neglected to state OS & SW versions:
Win 95
jdk 1.1.8
JSDK2.0
Apache 1.3.6
JServ 1.0
The only other clue I have is that the first time I started up Apache after
the re-install, the main server error log had a few lines like:
ApacheJServ/1.0: Exception creating the server socket:
java.net.SocketException: create
but after each restart, they have not been recorded....
Also, my jserv.log is empty...
Any help would be great,
John
