I've successfully built mod_jserv on a RedHat 6.0 box, and it's currently in
use on another RedHat 6.0 box. Both of these boxes have the apache-1.3.6 RPM
installed. The box I built mod_jserv on also had the apache-devel package
installed.

Instructions, complete with RPM spec file, are in the Faq-O-Matic.
