Could someone with the higher inaugurations of autoconf
please explain the steps to perform after
a cvs update of a fresh jserv (1.0) repository?
I thought running autoconf and the ./configure would be
appropriate but it fails (unless I do a link
of acinclude.m4 to aclocal.m4).
The resulting configure script leads to a shell syntax error
It seems that AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE(${PACKAGE}, ${VERSION})
and the whole automake stuff isn't being substituted
in the configure script. Sorry if this sounds stupid but
I'm not (yet) familiar with the automake/autoconf
mechanism. I was always using it when it worked :-)
I'm using FreeBSD 2.2.8, bash and sh expose both the error.
I installed autoconf 2.13 and automake-1.3, as well as m4 1.14.
Clueless at the moment. Just want to get ahead compiling
apache 1.3.6 with jserv support but I'm stuck at the
moment with not getting configure through.
Help really appreciated.
