----------------------------- Please read the FAQ! <http://java.apache.org/faq/> ----------------------------- I am sorry, I wish I could help you but I haven't even made it that far. I was wondering if you could help me out with a question I am having problems with. I am using jdk1.2.2\jserv1.0\WindowsNT4Worstation I am trying to develop may own servlets and I am having problems getting them tro compile. Have you hasd similar problems? -----Original Message----- From: Georg Seipler Sent: Sat, 31 Jul 1999 19:09:11 +0200 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Apache JServ only working sporadically with JDK1.2.2 ? ----------------------------- Please read the FAQ! <http://java.apache.org/faq/> ----------------------------- Dear fellow users ... (one more try:) I'm experiencing a problem with the following configuration: Apache 1.3.6, Apache JServ 1.0final, JDK1.2.2, JSDK2.0 under Windows NT4 Server Installation and Configuration work without problems and my servlets are running just fine ... once or twice. Then the Java VM inevitably crashes. Deinstallation of JDK1.2.2 and Reinstallation of JDK1.1.8 (adapting the jserv.properties of course) solves the problem, but then I can't use any of the Java 2 language features. Scanning through the FAQ and the bug reports as well as according newsgroups didn't turn anything up. Anybody else experiencing this problem ? Why does it occur ? What to do ? On a sidenote: before switching to Apache I've been using Microsoft IIS4 with ServletExec (from NewAtlanta). This configuration does also have problems with the Java2 VM. In this case the server stops mysteriously as soon as any user logs out (this is a known bug). Thankful for any help.
