Javacorporate Ltd. is pleased to announce the Expresso Framework as an open
source project. We have a demo available on-line with source code being
available for download within a few days.
It is designed to allow rapid construction of web applications
by providing all of the components common to such applications in a
completely standards-based way. Expresso builds on the Servlet API in a way
designed to support custom extensions in a specific layer of the object
hierarchy, allowing updates to the framework without creating orphan
versions. This application framework is designed for servlet-based
applications.
The services include:
-Database objects (object/relational mapping) w/advanced connection pooling
-Security, session management, database level and application/method level
-Job Control (queuing, priorities, scheduling, etc)
-System Health Check
-Logging (extending standard servlet logging with multi-level, color-coded
HTML)
-Event Notification (via e-mail, using JavaMail API)
-Configuration Values

Feedback/comments most appreciated!
Thanks
