I'm about to start work on a project that would involve the following
components:
-Blackdown JDK 1.7(or is it 8?)
-mySQL (with mm drivers)
-Linux, RH6
-Apache 1.3.6
-JServ 1.0

I've decided on this framework because of the speed of Linux, Apache and
mySQL. But after reading about all the issues surrounding native threads in
linux, will my performance be comprimised by using Java to tie this all
together?

Also along these lines, is there a reasonable limit to how many servlets can
be running - just sort of sitting around, waiting for something to do?

Many thanks,
