I have now tried it on an Apache 1.3.6 JServ 1.0 Linux machine and
everything works as expected (using Netscape or telnet).
Still my Apache 1.3.9 on NT4SP5IE5 does not quite do it. Somewhere there
seems to be buffering data in 4096 byte chunks, but I am not sure if this
is a JServ or Apache problem or even deeper in the system (as IE5 seems
to be buffering similarly when reading data).
Anyway, if it works on Unix machines it is good enough for me, thanks for
your help. Maybe somebody from the development team could look at this
nevertheless.
