I appreciate the replies and suggestions.
The thing is (I'll spare you the gory details, or most of them) I'm doing
this alone, or mostly so, and just spent what for me is a lot of money on
software only to have JavaWebServer expire on me (I hadn't even realized
it was trialware, sharp as a tack I am). I just can't afford $300 for
JWS right now so I turned to Apache and JServ.
Anyway, I neglected to mention everything is running locally, on the same
machine, server and browsers. With some help I discovered I had ODBC
configured for user DSN but not for system DSN. Adding the data source
to the system DSN fixed it up nicely.
