Hi,

I am a newbie in the Unix world so...

I have been trying to install Jserv on a MacOsX machine running freeBSD.
I have been able to install Apache (1.3.9) with DSO support, but when I
try to install Jserv(1.0)... this is the error that I get:

[streamer:/usr/local/ApacheJServ-1.0] root# ./configure
--with-apache-install=/L
ocal/Library/WebServer
loading cache ./config.cache
Configuring ApacheJServ/1.0
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes
checking for working aclocal... missing
checking for working autoconf... found
checking for working automake... missing
checking for working autoheader... found
checking for working makeinfo... missing
checking host system type... configure: error: can not guess host type;
you must specify one

Where do I specify the host type?

Thanks in advance.
