Hi,

Sending this to the list for my Servlet resulted in zero replies. Maybe
one of you guys can help? :)

tia,

Andy

PS. JCVSlet is from http://www.jcvs.org

Hi,

I've compiled Apache 1.3.9 with Jserv 1.0. Mod_jserv is statically
linked to Apache instead of loaded as a DSO. This is all running under
Solaris 7 Sparc. Im trying to get the current release of JCVSlet to run
with this but failing miserably. To be honest Im not sure what I should
be putting in:

jserv/conf/jserv.conf
jserv/conf/jserv.properties

And then Im not sure about setting up a zone(s) and JCVSlet within it.
If I take the default Apache/JServ configs the "example/Hello" servlet
works. My problem lies with things like:

JServ says to have zone.properties file(s).
JCVSlet seems to want a jcvslet.properties files in it's home dir.

JServ example has .class & .java files in the example zone repository,
can see how "Hello" is invoked, not sure how
jcvslet would be, just has a .jar. Added this file to wrapper.classpath
list though.

JCVSlet is probably the only servlet I will run, the only other things
on the Apache httpd will be plain html and some cgi.

Any number of configs I tried resulted in breaking the example/Hello
servlet and an "Internal Server Error", the jserv.log file had

[22/09/1999 15:17:06:082] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via

protoco
l "ajpv11"

127.0.0.1:8
007
[22/09/1999 15:17:12:979] (EMERGENCY) ajp11: connection fail

Anyone got a "howto" or any pointers?

Many thanks,

Andy
