I have this EXACT same configuration on my server (although, I have 2.7
solaris) and it works just fine.

that looks good, but there is no reason to specify --with-java-platform=2.

If you actually look at the errors, they have nothing to do with the files
in the source directory.

I really don't know. Did you do a make and then a make install? Send me the
FULL output of your ENTIRE building process in PRIVATE email. When you just
include the last portion, it doesn't do anybody any good because it is like
taking a book and ripping half of the pages out and then expecting me to
know exactly what the book is about. ;-)
