I am not sure about that.. but if u read INSTALL.apache file which comes
with GNUJSP installation, the author has mentioned regarding bean.. i
mean, he is describing like by putting a directory which contains all
the beans classes in the 'repositories' attribute, u can write jsp pages
which uses beans..

And i may be wrong.. but  GNUJSP 1.0.0 supports JSP specification 1.0
given  by SUN.. so, shouldn't it support beans also???? This is just my
assumption.. 

but nebody knows about this.... please feel free to have their
suggestions..
