hi there, I am trying to install Jserv but am getting some rather
strange errors with it. I am running Redhat6.1 with kernel 2.2.12 and
Apache 1.3.9 with DSO on a 586. I have installed jdk and jre 1.1.7v3
(for both) and JSDK2.0 from Sun, but when I run the configure i get the
following error(s):
checking JSDK... configure: error: no javax.servlet.Servlet class or jar
with it in /usr/local/JSDK2.0/lib/
and/or (depending on which way I specify it)
checking JSDK... configure: error: javax.servlet.Servlet not found in
/usr/local/JSDK2.0/lib/jsdk.jar
no other errors occur except this one
Now, I have followed both examples given in the INSTALL, but neither
works (and this IS the correct location of jsdk.jar). I would guess that
this might be addressed in the faq, however as that is offline at this
time, the faq is not exactly a usable resource for me (assuming that
this is addressed there). The JSDK2.0 install is fine, and jsdk.jar
exists in the location specified, so I cannot really figure why this is
not working.
Anyway, please help if you can.
Thank you for your time
