I went through the Mail Archive, and one thing that seemed strange to me was how when you move the .zip/.jar file to another location, the whole thing works ! Well, I checked the permissions on the directory where I put database jdbc driver and strangely, it was shown as a locked directory in KDE. The owner and group was root, and the permissions were off. I tried changing it but it always went back to its default -- strange, man !! I haven't watched the Blair Witch Project, but this certainly seemed to be a lot like it -- unexplained stuff happening on my disk. Anyway, I changed the location of my db2java.zip to the same directory as my jdk class files and it worked ! Hmm...
