The language itself is a non-issue.

The standard time and date classes are Y2K compliant in 1.2, and internally, they have
always been
Y2K compliant. The interfaces have been the source of the troubles, and Sun's
response in one case
was to deprecate some methods. There were some bug fixes in 1.1.x, but supposedly
they are fixed in
1.1.6. 1.0.2 was not Y2K compliant.

Kinda late to be asking, isn't it? Although maybe not: I got an E-mail from one of my
customers and
he discovered that one of his systems is non-compliant in a serious way.
