Your user file is probably set up correctly, but I'd guess that your
location
directive is not.  It's hard to tell since you did not include the directive
you are using in your post.

Hi! All
I think you can help me.
I am using the basic authentication to authenticate my servlets.I have
directly used the
location directive in the configuration file.The authentication is
working fine and I am
getting the required popup asking for username and password.
The problem which I am facing is that eventhough I am giving a valid
username and
password, the authentication fails and I get a popup telling me
Invalid User!
Retry or cancel!
I am using the htpasswd file and I have added the users in a file which
is kept in the
servlet directory.The path in the location directive to the users file
is also correct.
I have tried everything I could think of but it is still not working.

Please help me!
