FYI
We build everything, Apache, jserv..., under one directory. Make a tar file out the directory, put on target boxes, un-tar it. It works. This is on AIX box.

Subject: How to make binary builds?

Hello,
I'm trying to make one build for Solaris 2.6, which has
Apache 1.3.11, OpenSSL 0.9.4, mod_ssl-2.5.0-1.3.11
and ApacheJServ-1.1. I would like to make the build
only once and use the same binary build for other
Solaris 2.6. The idea is to make installation easier
for other personnel in our company.
I have a script, which replaces all root directories etc.
in all necessary files, but it seems that bin/httpd always
has the wrong root somewhere. I have grepped all files and
I believe it is fixed at compile time. There is however a
binary build for Apache, which allows you to chooce
destination directory at installation time. How is it done?
Can anyone give instructions on binary builds? (Sorry
if this is covered in FAQ, but it seems to be down.)
Regards,
Ville Silventoinen
