Tomcat does not use JServ's engine. It is not possible in Tomcat either.

Go ahead. It will never become part of the distribution.

You will never get chaining (in the sense you are thinking) from a Jakarta
or Java.Apache engine. Chaining is a horrible idea and the reasoning is well
documented in the FAQ.
