I'm currently trying to send data files thru a servlet back to an end user.
I'm setting the content type to "application/octet-stream" but the browser is
still trying to interpret the data. In other words if I'm sending back a file
that contains HTML the browser will display it instead of popping up a save
file dialog. If I associate a file name with the file and the meta type is
"application/octet-stream" the save file dialog box will pop-up.
Is there an HTTP header that sets the file name? Is there a formal way of
sending data thru a servlet that will treat the data by the content-type?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
