Perhaps not the answer you want, but did you know that RPMS exist for
apache and jserv?
I always used to download & compile the source (spending an hour or two
on it, usually), but now I use the rpms. I find it a much better
solution!
Of course, there are many good reasons for working straight from source,
so if that's your case, I'll stay quiet! :)
