Don't make us guess your problem!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------- Dear All, in reference to the postings earlier regarding the crashing of java.exe I think I have located the problem: it appears to lie solely with the sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver class. After a frustrating time writing Connection Pools, fiddling with threads and configuration files I switched to another jdbc driver (in this case the brilliant mm MySQL jdbc driver from http://www.worldserver.com/mm.mysql/). It immediately resolved the problem and the crashes ceased: the morale of the story is do not trust anything that is not fully supported. Sun say that their jdbc-ODBC bridge should not be used because it is not fully supported and I guess they are right.
