Don't you read mails in this list? JServ will never support servlet API 2.1.
Tomcat is the Successor of JServ and supports API 2.2.

Tomcat does support url rewriting, as jon stated just a few mails ago.

This is an interesting question. But you have said that your application
works fine with Tomcat, so where's the problem? Tomcat is quite new, so
don't expect 1000% stability, but Tomcat evolves fast.
